Arrangements for the demolition and removal of the current structures will soon be underway along with planning for the construction of new facilities. In addition to the replacement of spectator grandstands and support facilities, the renovation of the university's track and field complex is being considered.
“Although we did not anticipate this issue, the safety of our students and guests is of primary importance to us," said MNU President David Spittal. "We will use this as an opportunity to make needed improvements to our facilities and consider our future needs at the same time.”
University officials are reviewing alternative locations for the four home games scheduled for this fall and will make an announcement as soon as plans are complete.
